How old does my child
need to be to take lessons?

Music lessons can be a great idea for people of nearly all ages. Most young students are able to start lessons once they start school and have started reading. The instructor will be able to meet with your child and determine if he is ready to start lessons.

How much do students need to practice?

All students work with their instructor to determine practice expectations, depending on age and ability. For example, young beginning students may agree with their instructor to practice 20 minutes at a time 3-4 days a week, but a more advanced student may be required to practice 45 to 60 minutes 4-5 days a week. Practice expectations are meant to be reasonable and beneficial to the students.
